This wall art picture is of the Gordon Gardens in Gravesend. The garden is named after General Gordon who lived at Fort House from 1865 to 1871. The garden and foreshore were given to the Corporation of Gravesend by a former Mayor of Gravesend, George Matthew Arnold. The park around the general’s statue and around the Gordon Lake is typical open area. This forest, or jungle like part of the garden lies between the New Tavern Fort and the rest of the park.
